KISS ME TO THE END

The Biting School

May 20 & 21, 2022 | 6:30pm-830pm & 9pm-11pm
Slice of Life - 1636 Venables St Vancouver BC V5L 2H2

I was commissioned to make a 30-minute performance during the pandemic and it truly came to fruition after we cautiously started to come out of our caves. I wanted to work with my old friend Pegah Tabassinejad and all I was craving was to see people kiss each other and make out.

The piece is for two performers. It starts with this line: “this performance will not finish unless you kiss somebody in this room during this performance” “I’m not sure if I like it cause there’s force in it” and it goes on and on till we land on the idea that “this performance will not finish unless two people kiss each other for 5 continuous minutes.” The piece leads to holding the space for two strangers to come to the designated spot in front of everybody to kiss each other - making out - for 5 minutes.
